What’s happening at “Sister City”?
Tomball German Christmas Market, Dates Coming Soon!!!
Vendors Welcome.
Will be part of the “Second Saturday Events” sponsored by the City of Tomball and Tomball Regional Arts Council (TRAC). The Christmas Market is intended to be apart of and to enhance the already planned “Second Saturday in December”. The Sister City will work with TRAC to co-ordinate the Christmas Market into and apart of the “Second Saturday” program.
Venue: Train Depot Plaza Area and 100 Block Market St. Street festival and open air market.
Time: 10am to 10.00pm – Date Coming Soon!!!
Estimate number of vendors about (40) including German Christmas items, arts crafts, food, drink, other. Vendors will be located along Market Street to Walnut Street and Granny’s Korner at that intersection.
Set up time on Friday and very early Saturday morning.
One (1) tent (30’x30’) located near Market and Walnut attached to a small beer garden decorated with lots of Christmas lights and a German theme. The tent will also include entertainment (including Chris Rybak, Das Ist Lustig, Valina, and Dutch Santa), tables and chairs, and Gluhwein.
Kids area near Walnut and Market including music, pony ride, petting zoo, rock wall, large inflatable bounce house, and other.
Food vendors (4) would include traditional German food and drink, gluhwein (glow wine), Christmas Stollen, Kaffee und Kuchen(coffee and pastry), bratwurst, red cabbage, sauerkraut, apple strudel, etc. Also, would include one funnel cake, already contracted.
Other activities included: Lighting of giant Christmas tree, large outdoor movie screen (It’s a wonderful life), Hayride and Christmas light tour, Music on Depot Stage (two music stages), fireworks, Dedication and unveiling of statue Thomas Ball.
